We work from around the world to build the best products. We enjoy things like: plants, engineering, design, and fun.
Since his early days in Oklahoma, Caleb has been fascinated by code. He’s had the opportunity to work with a number of tech startups, an accelerator on his own augmented reality app, and served as lead iOS developer at Splitwise. He founded Motel with Mark in 2014 and has been building products and a talented team around him ever since.
Matt is a designer and project manager that got his start with NYC agency Pentagram, where he had the opportunity to work with clients such as Rockefeller Center, College Football Playoff, and the Big Ten Conference. When Matt’s not designing, he can be found talking design on a podcast.
The operations lead at Motel, Megan spends most of her time making sure we're on the straight and narrow and that everyone’s finding joy at work. That is, when she's not making fun of us in some way.
Our lead developer at Motel, Scott enjoys architecting software and writing Elixir. He holds the record for most recipes cooked, and most mountains skied, and most custom emojis made of his face.
When not building a Chrome Extension for DOTA or being bullied by her adorable cat Little Bear, Samina writes a ton of backend code, and of course, everyone's favorite: Java.
Our frontend wiz, Alex spends time on the client-side of things with every framework you could think of: Angular, Elixir, React, Vue. Oh, and she's building a 200 square foot tiny house...to live in.
Lydia is an engineer at Motel and loves to create efficient and awesome software. Previously, she's worked on projects improving genetic analysis using Ruby on Rails and is jazzed about digging into Elixir and phoenix on future projects. She is a lover of forests, donuts, nachos, and by necessity working out. Oh, and, ps. she can probably deadlift you.
